In June 3, business starters team from STU defended their championship in international category in the 6th One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition with their “Da Gan Tech Project” and got an award of 250,000 HK dollars.

The Da Gan team, instructed by professor Lin Danming (林丹明), Li Fenlan (李芬兰), Ou Yangfeng (欧阳峰), and Liang Qiang (梁强), develops the products of Da Gan smart projection device. They cooperate with an Israel company in research and development of their video accelerator and their project has received support from China-Israel R&D Foundation. Da Gan smart projection device is a smart video and audio terminal, which combines the techs of the cloud, android, smart house data center, and devices of computer, television, projector and network set up box.

The 6th One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition is held by HKUST and its competition system includes the preliminary, 28 for 16, round of 16, semi-final, and final.
