STU Students Got a First Prize in the 6th National Market Research and Analysis Competition for College Students

 

On May 28 and 29, the Statistics Teaching Steering Committee (STSC), Commerce Statistical Society of China (CSSC), and Applied Statistics Association of China (ASAC) together held the final of the 6th National Market Research and Analysis Competition for College Students in Beijing in University of International Business and Economics. The team “Syndrome of Regret” from Shantou University, representing Guangdong province, won a first prize in the competition.

 

The National Market Research and Analysis Competition is open for college students from the mainland of China and China Taiwan. It is a professional and non-profit competition. The 6th competition began from October 2015 and 19089 students from 259 universities took part in it. After the primary competition, campus competition and provincial competition, 1020 teachers and students from 117 universities in 27 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities got access to the final. The team members from Shantou University, “Syndrome of Regret”, are all from marketing major of grade 2013 and they are Li Wenjun (李文俊), Chen Shaodong (陈少冬), Zhang Biyu (张碧玉), Su Yulan (苏玉兰), Lu Langsheng (卢琅声). Their marketing project is named “Did You Regret after Shopping? A Research on Customers’ Regret after their shopping”. This marketing project gets instructions from Prof. Zeng Xiangyang (曾宪扬), and Prof. Song Lihong (宋丽红).
