The final of the 2016 Enactus World Cup in China was held in Shanghai International Sourcing Promotion Center on May 24th. STU Enactus team, guided by Dennis Lee, won a 2nd prize by their outstanding project of Phoenix Organic Tea.

The target people of the organic tea project are the tea growers in Phoenix town of Chao An county, Guangdong province. This project aims at turning the traditional tea plantation mode into the organic tea plantation mode. At the same time, it tries to combine tea’s production and promotion and helps the tea growers in different production situations to find a sustainable way of tea producing and selling. This project improves the economy and environment there and extends the market of the phoneix organic tea. Tea growers are able to benefit from this project continuously.

Enactus is a global non-profit student organization. Shantou University set up its own Enactus team in 2008. For 8 years, STU Enactus team has been devoted to Chaoshan area’s better future, with the spirit of entrepreneurship and their practical actions. The achievement in the Enactus World Cup in China is just a beginning. In the future, STU Enactus team will keep on the pace to make Chanshan area better and spread more the ideas of public good.
