In the afternoon of May 14, the Internet + Innovations of Technology and Application Forum was held in the packed library lecture hall of Shantou University. Technical elites, entrepreneurs, experts and scholars who specializes in the fields of Internet, Internet of things and IT from Chaoshan area gathered together to share the new technology, new application and new thinking of Internet + era.

This forum was jointly organized by Shantou University, Shantou Association for Science and Technology, Shantou Computer Society, Shantou Information Service and Software Industry Association and Guangdong Digital Content Management Engineering Technology Research Center.

The forum not only invited Li Hui, who is a professor at Peking University and a member of the future network research expert group of the national major fundamental research facilities, but also invited Gu Liang who is a doctor from Peking University and the standing committee of Computer Security Professional Committee in China Computer Society, and Tencent Micropayments senior engineer Tang Xiaoping. All of them gave their own keynote speeches which were titled as "Distributed Storage Coding and System Development", "Visualization of the Safety Technology Trend" and "Security of Application of Micropayment " .

By combining their research fields and working practice with the new hot spot of Internet + era closely, these three guest speakers shared their opinions wonderfully from different respects including the theoretical study and system development of Distributed Large Cloud Storage and Data Analysis, Security and Virtualization of Network, Information Security Analysis, Information Sharing, Cloud Security, Mobile Security, Mass System Design, Mass Data Storage, Big Data Analysis and Modeling, Machine learning, Deep learning, Decision Engine Research and Development and WeChat Secure Payment.

Before the forum, Shantou Computer Society had held a conference and awarded those IT talents who were selected into "Chaoshan IT Think Tank" .

"Chaoshan IT Think Tank" is the IT talent pool of Chaoshan district which is founded by the six IT institutes and associations from Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang. Its main purpose is to strengthen the interaction of IT talents, to promote the cooperation of regional information talents and to exert the talents’ effect, so that it could make contributions to the IT urban integration of Chaoshan area. Up to now, 168 technical elites, entrepreneurs, experts and scholars from the field of IT have become the high-caliber personnel in Chaoshan IT Think Tank.
