STU made great achievements in the National College Students "Internet plus" Innovation Competition

 

 

On April 27, the 2018 National College Students "Internet plus" Innovation Competition and the sixth "Discovery cup" National College Students Internet Software Design Grand Final was held in Nanchang University. Shantou University institute of technology computer science’s team "Thinker -- brain-machine interface application explorer" won the grand slam in the finals, went to the national first prize and the "most valuable" business awards, professor Jiang Dazhi won the award for outstanding advisor.

 

 

Since the 6th “discovery cup” launched at the end of September last year, it has attracted 8,716 teams from 788 universities in 31 provinces. Finally, 150 teams from six major competition regions, including east China, south China, north China, central China, northeast China and west China, stood out and advanced to the national finals. After fierce competition in the finals, a total of 16 first prize, 30 second prize, 102 third prize, 60 outstanding instructors and 2 “The most valuable investment” award.

 

 

Representors of Contest organizer including Ma Qiang, director of Education and Examination Center, ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Zhi Fenhe, secretary-general of the E-commerce Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, Luo Hua, deputy secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, also the organizer of the competition, Han Shaoyun , the founder of Tarena Education Group, Deng Xiaohua, vice President of Nanchang University , Ge Gang, dean of academic affairs, Nanchang University, Peng Lindi, director of Education and Training Center of Jiangxi Provincial Departmentof Industry and Information Technology, Wang Xuan, executive director of KKR China, Deng Wenhui, President of Jiangxi Bairui company, Qiu Xiangjun, Tencent maker space (Nanchang) director of operations to attend the "Discovery cup" finals.

 

 

"Discovery cup" contest invited experts fromnearly 20 universities, including Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Nanchang University, Shanghai Normal University, north China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Art& Design Academy and so on, as well as experts from more than 20 companies, such as Tencent, Suning Holdings, Agree Technology, Jiangxi Province Computer Association, Jiangxi Electronic Commerce Association, Tarena Education Group, all of these experts form a panel of judges. The finals also invited nearly 10 news media, including Jiangxi TV Station, Jiangxi Education TV Station, China Daily, Jiangxi Daily and People's Daily Online.
