Principle Jiang Hong attended the 1st Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau University League annual conference and principal Forum

 

On June 6th, the 1st Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau University League annual conference and principal Forum was held in The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. The topic of this conference is “Grasp the opportunities for national and regional development—— Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau University League’s role in the construction of Greater Bay Area”.

 

 

Professor Jiang Hong, the principle of Shantou University, attended and gave a speech at the conference on behalf of Shantou University. In her speech, Professor Jiang Hong mentioned that Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau University League should follow the path of integrated development to bring its superiority into full play to cross the boundary of administrative division. The universities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau were supposed to cooperate more frequently to realize the advantage complementation. Professor Jiang Hong said that Shantou University was a young university which adhered to internationalization and meticulous education, and it would cooperate with other universities in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau University League to make contributions to the construction of Greater Bay Area and national development.

 

 

The Chinese University of Hong Kong , Sun Yat-sen University and Macau University signed a cooperation agreement of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau University Library League. According to this agreement, the members of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau University Library League would share the resources to achieve win-win development.

 

 

The Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau University League was founded in Sun Yat-sen University on November 15th, 2016. The total number of its members is 26, including ten Guangdong institutes like Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, and Shantou University, nine Hong Kong institutes like the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Lingnan University, the University of Hong Kong, and seven Macau institutes like University of Macau and City University of Macau.
