STU is included in Young University Rankings 2017

 

On April 5th, The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings were released. It is the first time for Shantou University to be included in the top 151-200 in the list. Including Shantou University, there are wo Chinese Universities in total that are included, and the another one is Suzhou University.

 

The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings are the most concerned Young University Rankings, which list the world’s best universities that are aged 50 years or under.

 

The table uses the same 13 performance indicators as the flagship THE World University Rankings to evaluate the universities. Institutions must demonstrate high standards of performance across teaching, research, international outlook and knowledge transfer to feature in the list. The 2017 ranking includes 200 institutions, up from 150 in 2016 and 100 in previous years.

 

Shantou University, founded in 1981,is a comprehensive university jointly supported by the Ministry of Education, the Guangdong Provincial Government and the Li Ka Shing Foundation.
