Review| SHE · Vision - Brass Gong Healing Workshop

Sources of information: Release date:2023-02-21 Number of readings:times

Perhaps it’s the heavy studies and high-pressure work, perhaps it’s the anxiety over the current deadlines, or perhaps it’s the confusion about future development. These tangled thoughts always scream silently in the rushed time, silently taking away our original pace of life before we know it.

How long has it been since we stopped to taste life and realized the beauty of being human?

Maybe occasionally, we can lay down the messy thoughts and feel the world with an empty mind, awaken the real and lively self that has been confined for so long.

On March 17th, the Brass Gong Healing Workshop event held by Esther Hall came to an end. Amidst the sound of music that was either heavy and lingering or short and fast, we relaxed our tense nerves, quieted our minds, felt the energy of life, and continued our journey with a more energetic state.

01 Aroma oil burning and meditation

(The TA applying aroma oil for student)

(Ms. Youyi is lecturing)

Contrasting with the silence in the library, the soothing music and faint fragrance of flowers in the yoga room bring peace to the mind. It seems that sitting silently can gradually dispel worries.

02 Relaxed in mind and body

Imagine yourself as a tree, slowly taking root, growing taller, blooming, and bearing fruit. Tensed emotions are released through gradual stretching of the body, and the perception of the body gradually awakens.

03 Brass Gong Healing

Relax the body and mind, and lie still on the yoga mat. Then release anxiety in the sound waves of the brass gong, enter deep meditation, connect with yourself and the environment, reconcile with the past and communicate with the future.

04 Sharing Session

(Students write or draw their thoughts carefully)

(Students sit around and share their reflections)

After the healing session, the scattered thoughts seem to have flown away with the melodious sounds, and the energy of life flows into our hearts.

We hold gratitude for everything we have, and have gained courage and strength towards the distant future.

(The teacher and students listened carefully and encouraged each other)

In the circle formed by sitting together, the students share their insights and give each other strength. Here, we use swaying hands instead of applause to show our support and encouragement to each other.

# SHE SAYS

Fan Yuchen: This is a very magical experience. I feel very rewarding. The most profound feeling is to let go and become insensitive to the passage of time during the healing process, feeling like time has been stolen. At the same time, I also think of some persistent obsession in life, gradually sorting out my thoughts in the sound of music, and finding what I really want to protect.

Zhu Wanying: Scenes from previous experiences flash hurriedly. Those happy and sad moments, people missed or passed by, from childhood to now... These things are both ordinary and precious, making me feel that I am important and giving me hope for the future.

Liu Bing: The sound of the brass gong reminded me of my distant family, and the unwillingness and difficulties when leaving home. Later, the sound of wind chimes comforted me, as if my mother was telling me“It’s okay, baby.” Suddenly I feel like a lucky person, with so many warm people around me giving me care and encouragement. I am wondering if we can also pass on this warmth, be a person who guards true feelings.

Work Shows

Words of encouragement: Instead of being bound by endless anxiety, it’s better to take a break, calm down, find your own rhythm, and turn anxiety into motivation with more ease. May we all live gently and strongly.
